Configuring an Application Book

Policy > Object > App Book

The system provides you with multiple predefined applications and application groups. Applications and application groups can be referenced by other modules. Besides, you can create user-defined application groups but user-predefined applications.

In the Application tab, select a predefined application and then click Edit to edit the timeout value of the protocols.

In the Application Group tab, you can perform the following actions:

Click New to create a new application group.
Click Edit to edit the selected user-defined application group. The pre-defined application group is not editable.
Click Delete to delete the selected user-defined application group. The pre-defined application group cannot be deleted.
Enter the keyword of the application name in the search field. The system will display the application whose name contains the key word in time.

Options in the Application Group Configuration dialog:

Option	Description
Name	Specifies a name for the new application group.
Description	Specifies the description for the application group.
Member	Add applications or application groups to the application group. The system supports at most 8-layer nested application group. Expand Pre-defined Application Group or User-defined Application Group from the left pane, select applications or application groups, and then click Add to add them to the right pane. To remove a selected application or application group, select it from the right pane, and then click Remove.
