Trap Host

System > System Management > SNMP > Trap Host

Configure the trap host to receive SNMP trap packets.

In the Trap Host page, you can execute the following tasks:

Options in the Trap Host Configuration dialog:

Option Description
Hostname

Type the host name or IP address of the trap host into the Hostname box.

Trap Host Port

Type the port number for the trap host into the Trap Host Port box.

SNMP Agent

Select the SNMP version from the Service drop-down list. The SNMP version can be V1, V2C or V3.

  • If the selected SNMP version is V1 or V2C, type the community for the trap host into the Community box and then click OK to save your settings and return to the SNMP dialog.
  • If the selected SNMP version is V3, select the V3 user from the V3 User drop-down list, type the Engine ID for the trap host into the Remote EngineID box, and then click OK to save your settings and return to the SNMP dialog.
