Introduction to Device Management
Device Management includes the following functions:
- Admin: Introduces how to configure Admin, including creating an administrator account, assigning privileges to an account, configuring password and accessing methods, etc.
- Trust Host: Explains how to configure Trust Host, inlcuding creating, editting, and deleting. To secure StroneOS only the trust host can manage the system . Administrator can specify an IP range, and hosts in the specified IP range are trust hosts. Only trust hosts could access the management interface to manage the device.
- Management Interface: Shows how to configure Management Interface, inlcuding configuring the timeout value, assigning the port number, and configuring PKI trust domain of HTTPS. The system supports the following access methods for the management interface: Console, Telnet, SSH and Web. You can configure the timeout value, port number, and PKI trust domain of HTTPS.
- System Time: Presents how to configure System Time, inlcuding setting the time manulaly and synchronizing the time from NTP server.
- Settings: Specifies system settings, including configuring AAA servers used to authenticate the administrators, configuring the host name and setting up the password strategy.
