Configuring a Virtual Router

System > Network > Advanced Network > Virtual Router

By configuring virtual routers, you can divide a device into multiple virtual routers, and each router utilizes and maintains their completely independent routing table. In such a case one single device is acting as multiple routers.

In the Virtual Router page, you can perform the following actions:

In the Virtual Router tab, click New to create a new virtual router.
In the Virtual Router tab, click Delete to delete the selected virtual routers.
In the Global Configuration tab, configure the Multiple Virtual Routers function.

Options in the Virtual Router Configuration dialog:

Option	Description
Virtual Router	Specifies the virtual router name in the textbox.

Options in the Global Configuration page:

Option	Description
Multiple Virtual Routers	Select the checkbox to enable the Multiple Virtual Routers function and then click Apply to submit your configurations.

Notes:

After Multi-VR is enabled or disabled, the system must reboot to make it take effect. After rebooting, system's maximum concurrent sessions will decrease by 15% if the function is enabled, or restore to normal if the function is disabled.
If the Multiple Virtual Routers function is enabled, traffic can traverse up to 3 VRs, and any traffic that has to traverse more than 3 VRs will be dropped.
