Configuring a Src-If Route

Source interface route is designed to select a router and forward data based on the source IP address and ingress interface of a packet.

Creating a Src-If Route

To create a Src-If route, take the following steps:

1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > Routing to visit the Routing page.
2. On the Src-If tab, click New.
3. In the Source Interface Route Configuration dialog, select an interface for the route from the Ingress interface drop-down list.
4. Type the source IP for the route into the Src IP box.
5. Type the corresponding subnet mask into the Subnet mask box.
6. To specify the type of next hop, click Gateway or Interface. If Gateway is selected, type the IP address into the Gateway box; if Interface is selected, select an interface from the Interface drop-down list below. For the tunnel interface, you need to type the gateway address for the tunnel's peer into the optional box below.
7. Type the route precedence into the Precedence box. The smaller the parameter is, the higher the precedence is. If multiple routes are available, the route with higher precedence will be prioritized. The value range is 1 to 255. The default value is 1. When the value is set to 255, the route is invalid.
8. Type the weight for the route into the Weight box. This parameter is used to determine the weight of traffic forwarding in load balance. The value range is 1 to 255. The default value is 1.
9. Click OK to save your settings.

Deleting a Src-If Route

To delete a Src-If route, take the following steps:

1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > Routing to visit the Routing page.
2. On the Src-If tab, select the route from the Src-If route list below, and click Delete.
