Configuring a User Binding

This section describes how to configure a user binding.

Binding an IP/MAC Address to a User

To bind an IP or MAC address to a user, take the following steps:

  1. Select Objects > User Binding from the menu bar.
  2. In the User Binding dialog, click Add.
  3. In the IP/MAC Binding dialog, select an AAA server from the AAA server drop-down list.
  4. Select a user from the User drop-down list.
  5. Click a binding type in the Binding types section.
  6. If IP is selected, type the IP address into the IP box. If needed, select the check box to apply the IP-User mapping only to the check for IP-user mapping during Web authentication; If MAC is selected, type the MAC address into the MAC box.
  7. Click OK to save the changes and return to the previous dialog/page.

Deleting an IP/MAC-User Binding

To delete an IP/MAC-User binding, take the following steps:

  1. Select Objects > User Binding from the menu bar.
  2. In the User Binding dialog, select an AAA server from the AAA server drop-down list.
  3. Select the IP/MAC-User binding you want to delete from the binding list, and click Delete.

Importing an IP/MAC-User Binding List

To import an IP/MAC-User binding list, take the following steps:

  1. Select Objects > User Binding from the menu bar.
  2. In the User Binding dialog, click Import.
  3. In the Import dialog, click Browse... to choose a file.
  4. Click OK to complete.

Exporting an IP/MAC-User Binding List

To export an IP/MAC-User binding list, take the following steps:

  1. Select Objects > User Binding from the menu bar.
  2. In the User Binding dialog, click Export.
  3. In the Export dialog, save the selected file to you local disk.
  4. Click OK to complete.

Searching an IP/MAC-User Binding

To search an IP/MAC-User binding, take the following steps:

  1. Select Objects > User Binding from the menu bar.
  2. In the User Binding dialog, type the IP or MAC address into the Keyword: (IP or MAC) box, and click Search. The searching result will be displayed in the list below.
