Updating APP Signature DB

Various applications are updated frequently. System allows you to update the APP signature DB to assure the devices can adapt to these changes in time and identify the latest software version.

System supports auto update and local update.

Configuring APP Signature DB Update

By default, system updates the APP signature DB everyday automatically. You can change the update configuration if needed. To modify the configuration of APP signature DB, take the following steps:

1. Select Objects > Service Book from the menu bar.
2. In the Service Book dialog, click Update and select Update Configuration from the drop-down list.
3. In the Automatic Update Configuration - APP Signature DB dialog, select the Enable check box for Auto update to enable auto update.
4. Specify a schedule for the auto update in Schedule.
5. Type the IP address or domain name for the update server into the Server 1 box.
6. If needed, repeat Step 5 to configure Server 2 and Server 3.
7. Click OK to save your settings.

Updating APP Signature DB from Server

To update the APP signature DB from an update server, take the following steps:

1. Select Objects > Service Book from the menu bar.
2. Click Update and select Update from Server Now from the drop-down list to update the APP signature DB immediately.

Updating APP Signature DB from Local File

To update the APP signature DB from a local file, take the following steps:

1. Select Objects > Service Book from the menu bar.
2. Click Update and select Update from Local File from the drop-down list.
3. In the Application library local update configuration dialog, click Browse to select a local APP signature DB file, and click Upload to upload the file.
