Trap Host
This section describes how to configure a trap host.
Creating a Trap Host
To create a trap host, take the following steps:
- Select System > SNMP from the menu bar.
- In the SNMP dialog, click the Trap Host tab.
- Click New.
- In the Trap Host Configuration dialog, type the domain name or IP address of the trap host into the Host name box.
- Type the port number for the trap host into the Trap host port box.
- Select the SNMP version from the Service drop-down list. The SNMP version can be V1, V2C or V3.
If the SNMP version is V1 or V2C, take the following steps:
- Type the community for the trap host into the Community box.
- Click OK to save your settings and return to the SNMP dialog.
If the SNMP version is V3, take the following steps:
- Select the V3 user from the V3 User drop-down list.
- Type the Engine ID for the trap host into the Remote EngineID box.
- Click OK to save your settings and return to the SNMP dialog.
Editing a Trap Host
To edit a trap host, take the following steps:
- Select System > SNMP from the menu bar.
- In the SNMP dialog, click the Trap Host tab.
- Select the trap host you want to edit from the list and click Edit. In the Trap Host Configuration dialog, modify according to your need.
- Click OK to save your changes and return to the SNMP dialog.
Deleting a Trap Host
To delete a trap host, take the following steps:
- Select System > SNMP from the menu bar.
- In the SNMP dialog, click the Trap Host tab.
- Select the trap host you want to delete from the list and click Delete.
