Configuring Host Binding

This section describes how to configure the host binding function.

Configuring Binding List

To add a binding entry to the binding list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host Binding to visit the Host Binding page.
  3. Click Add to visit the Candidate List page.
  4. Select the binding entry/entries you want to add, and then click Binding.

To delete a binding entry from the binding list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host Binding to visit the Host Binding page.
  3. Select the binding entry you want to delete from the list, and click Remove binding.

Configuring Candidate List

You can bind the entries in the candidate list, and the bound entries will be moved to the binding list. To bind the entries in the candidate list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Candidate List to visit the Candidate List page.
  3. Select the entry/entries you want to bind in the list, and then click Binding.

To delete an entry from the candidate list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Candidate List to visit the Candidate List page.
  3. Select the entry you want to delete from the list, and then click Delete.

Configuring a Super User

The super user won't be controlled by the host checking function, and he can log in at any host.

To configure a super user, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click User to visit the User page.
  3. Click New.
  4. In the User Configuration dialog, type the user name into the Username box.
  5. Select the Enable check box to make it a super user.
  6. Type a number into the Pre-approved number box. If the system allows one user to login from multiple hosts, and the option of automatically adding the user-host ID entry into the binding list at the first login is enabled, then by default the system only records the user and first login host ID entry to the binding list, i.e., if the user logs in from other hosts, the user and host ID will be added to the candidate list. This pre-approved number specifies the maximum number of user-host ID entries for one user in the binding list.
  7. Click OK to save the settings.

To edit a super user, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click User to visit the User page.
  3. Select the user you want to edit from the list and click Edit.

Configuring a Shared Host

Clients that log in from the shared host won't be controlled by the host binding list.

To configure a shared host, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host ID to visit the Host ID page.
  3. Click New.
  4. In the Host Configuration dialog, type the host ID into the Host ID box.
  5. Select the Enable check to make it a shared host.
  6. Click OK to save the settings.

To edit a shared host, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host ID to visit the Host ID page.
  3. Select the host ID you want to edit from the list and click Edit.

Importing/Exporting User-Host ID Binding List

To import the user-host ID binding list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host Binding Import.
  3. Click Browse to find the binding list file and click Upload.

To export the user-host ID binding list, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > SSL VPN to visit the SSL VPN page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click Host Binding Export. Select a path to save the current binding list.
