Configuring a DHCP Relay Proxy

This section describes how to configure a DHCP relay proxy. The security appliance can act as a DHCP relay proxy to receive requests from a DHCP client and send requests to the DHCP server, and then obtain DHCP information from the server and return it to the client.

Creating a DHCP Relay Proxy

To create a DHCP relay proxy, take the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Network > Network to visit the Network page.
  2. On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click DHCP.
  3. In the DDNS List dialog, click New.
  4. In the DHCP Configuration dialog, select an interface to which the DHCP Relay Proxy will be applied from the Interface drop-down list.
  5. In the Type section, click DHCP Relay Proxy.
  6. Type the IP addresses of DHCP servers into the Server 1/Server 2/Server 3 boxes.
  7. Click OK to close the dialog and return to DHCP List.

Editing a DHCP Relay Proxy

To edit a DHCP relay proxy, select the proxy you want to edit and click Edit. In the DHCP Configuration dialog, modify according to your need.

Deleting a DHCP Relay Proxy

To delete a DHCP relay proxy, select the proxy you want to delete and click Delete.
