User-defined URL Database
Besides categories in predefined URL database, you can also define user-defined URL categories. User-defined URL database provides URL categories for the configurations of URL filter, web content, and web posting.
Creating a URL Category
To create a URL category, take the following steps:
- On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Content > URL Filter/Web Content/Web Posting to visit the corresponding page.
- On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click User-defined URL DB.
- In the User-defined URL DB dialog, click New.
- In the URL Category dialog, type a URL category name into the Category box.
- Type a URL into the URL http:// box.
- Click Add to add the URL into the system.
- Repeat Step 5 to 6 to add more URLs.
- To edit a URL, select the URL you want to edit from the list and click Edit. Edit the URL in the URL http:// box, and then click Add.
- To delete a URL, select the URL you want to delete from the list and click Delete.
- Click OK to save the settings.
Notes:
- URL category name cannot only be a hyphen (-).
- The system supports up to 16 user-defined URL categories.
Editing a URL Category
To edit a URL category, take the following steps:
- On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Content > URL Filter/Web Content/Web Posting to visit the corresponding page.
- On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click User-defined URL DB.
- Select the URL category you want to edit from the list and click Edit.
- In the URL Category dialog, modify according to your need.
Deleting a URL Category
To delete a URL category, take the following steps:
- On the Navigation pane, click Configure > Content > URL Filter/Web Content/Web Posting to visit the corresponding page.
- On the Task tab in the right auxiliary pane, click User-defined URL DB.
- Select the URL category you want to delete from the list and click Delete.
